Hey! I’m Shannon

living it up with my little family, in the Illawarra, NSW Australia. I am a Family and Wedding Photographer who is obsessed with the fun, funky, candid and real moments of any celebration or family.

You can count on me to capture and document the moments, in its realest and most candid form, while also adding fun and playful goodness to any portrait or creative section of a shoot!

thank golly gosh your here!

I could go on forever about my love for photography, but if there’s one thing you need to know about me—it’s that I love people. I love personalities, quirks, emotions, and the magic of capturing real moments that truly tell a story.

Photography is more than just a job for me—it’s deeply personal. When I was 15, my mum passed away at just 36. In the midst of my grief, I clung to the few photographs I had of her, searching for her smile, for pieces of her spirit frozen in time. Sadly, there weren’t many, and that’s what drives me today. I know the value of a photograph. A blurry, messy, imperfectly perfect moment can mean everything when it’s all you have left.

That’s why I do what I do. Because I want you in your photos. I want your kids to see you the way you see them. I want you to have images that not only show a moment but feel like the moment itself.

How I Got Here

My journey into photography wasn’t a straight line. After high school, I studied graphic design for two years, then spent a decade working in disability support—learning, saving, and nurturing my passion for storytelling through a lens. Six years ago, I took the leap and went full-time with family and wedding photography while also being a full-time Mum to my two amazing kids.

Now, I live in a colourful, happy home in Dapto with my husband of 10 years, my three children - i recently had a third little boy, we have our two pups, Daisy and Happy, two birds and a heart full of gratitude. My kids are happy and healthy and its all i could ever ask for. Im also turning 36 this year, marking the age that my Mum was when she passed away so my appreciation for life and each moment continues to grow. Life can be hard, and sad sometimes. But i will always be like a sunflower, facing the sunshine, trying my best to see the positives in everything before me.

What I Believe In

  • Photography should be fun and real—not stiff, awkward, or overly posed. I want you to feel at ease, like you’re just hanging out with an old friend who happens to have a camera.

  • Memories deserve to be preserved—because life is unpredictable, and these moments matter.

  • Creativity is everything—I’m always down for quirky, adventurous, or outside-the-box ideas.

  • Good vibes only—I welcome families and couples who cherish love, laughter, and real connection.

Random extra Facts about me

  • My favorite food is Mexican, but heck i love all food - not picky, i enjoy a good feed.

  • Music is my life! My favorite band is Linkin Park, but my taste is wildly eclectic.

  • I’m a total pop culture geek—TV shows, books, medieval fairs, wrestling, drag queens, you name it i’m into it.

  • I’m self proclaimed as goofy or “cringe” love to dance, and I’m not afraid to be silly if it makes people smile. I think im pretty funny, but hey, maybe i’m delulu.

  • I love art, design, fashion, and creativity in all forms—even if my own style is a little quirky, i dont follow trends, but i like what i like, and i won’t settle for boring.

  • I work hard, pour my heart into everything I do, and the best compliment I’ve ever received is that im often compared to sunshine. I do try ever so hard, to please others and make people smile.

  • I do not get much “spare time" these days, my kids and this business take up most of my time, but for me - editing at night while watching a tv series, or reading a good fantasy novel, or cleaning while jamming out to music seem to be my simple pleasures. But if i had it my way and money flowed, i’d be travelling, going on holidays with family, exploring outdoor marvels and taking pictures all day long.

Maybe you like me, maybe you don’t

If any of this resonates with you—golly, let’s do this! I’d love to meet you, capture your story, and create something special together. But if maybe i’m not your cup of tea, thats A-OK im at a stage of life i only want to capture people who feel a connection, i can give m best work that way!

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better. I hope we can be friends, I hope we can have an adventure and I can’t wait to document a season in your life.

Meet My Husband, Chad – My Partner in Life & Weddings

This is my husband, Chad, and let me tell you—we’re pretty inseparable. Best friends, partners in crime, and married for a long time now, so we know a thing or two about love! Together, we make a great team when it comes to capturing weddings.

A little about Chad—he’s a kind and gentle soul, an incredible father, and just one of those people who’s effortlessly easy to be around. He’s the one who keeps me grounded, level-headed, and calm when things get hectic. With an engineering background and a managerial role, he brings professionalism, logic, and a steady hand to everything he does. He’s also incredibly thoughtful—always making things easier for others, offering a compliment at the right moment, or just being there as a solid, reassuring presence.

When we’re working together at a wedding, we’re the perfect balance. My creative, outgoing energy meets his steady, calm, and caring nature, and together, we radiate happiness and love. We truly believe in making your day as seamless and joyful as possible—not just capturing the moments, but making sure you feel supported, at ease, and celebrated every step of the way.

Meet My Crazy, Wonderful Family

This little family right here? They’re my world. And each of them teach me so much about life, personalities and parenthood.

When you book my services, you’re not just hiring a photographer—you’re supporting us. You’re helping put food on our table, pay for swimming lessons, and most importantly, allowing me to show my kids what it looks like to chase a dream. I’m so proud to be a mum who is building something meaningful, and I’m beyond lucky to have such a supportive little unit by my side.

I’ve experienced a lot of loss in my life. My mum, dad, father-in-law, nan, and poppy have all passed away. Those losses have shaped me—they’ve taught me to cherish every single moment, to love fiercely, and to never take time with loved ones for granted.

Because of that, capturing your special moments is deeply personal to me. I know how precious these memories are. I promise to approach every session with heart, gratitude, and the understanding that these photos will one day mean everything.
